In many cases, Steam will display your CD Key when you first launch your game. If your game launches and asks for a CD Key you do not have, please try the following: Right-click on the game in the Library tab and select View Game CD Key. This option is not available for all Steam games and a CD Key is not required for all games.
Ok so update to this, i found that downloading Far Cry 3 and taking the systemdetection.dll file from THAT game and overwrite it onto Far Cry 2 bin folder. Better SYS detect for -> newer systems that the original FC2 install detect couldn't possibly have been geared for.

BTW, I do not know if this is an issue or not but he video card listings in your system specifications leads me to believe there may be an issue there as well. I do not have a notebook with two video cards so I have no idea how it supposed to look. This seems a little odd: Video Card:-Driver: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 DirectX Driver Name
New Dawn will not launch. Just bought the game on Steam last night but when I press play I get the "prepairing to launch" pop up box for about 1 second then nothing. Open the game through Uplay. Also make sure you used your key on Uplay.

also. verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam ..\EXIT Steam ..right click your steam icon ..select run as Administrator. to launch Steam. then go to your Steam games library. right clik on your game (fc 3 4 whatever) select properties. select local files. select verify Integrity of game cache.

Feb 3, 2016. #1. Alright, I've tried to fix this issue numerous times to no avail. Basically, for those who do not know, when using an Xbox controller (i've read that people experience these issues with other brands too) to play FC4, there are NUMEROUS game breaking problems. The game won't load elements correctly, quest progression is utterly What I noticed worked was running Steam in administrator mode. To do this, shut down Steam through task manager, find the Steam app/desktop app, right click it and run it as admin. That worked for me. If it doesn't, browse Far Cry's local files, go to "bin" and set all of the FarCry5 exe's to administrator priviliges in properties >compatibility.
Add uplay, then within uplay launch far cry 4. Steam overlay and broadcasting works! if you change your far cry steam shortcut to target: uplay://launch/420/0 the game will launch as it did before the patch. Unfortunately -skipintro still doesn't work. The game launches and if i alt+tab and look at steam i am ingame, but the overlay does not
4. its also possible some firewall or some anti virus software could also cause the game to hang (check your settings to fix ) as im sure Ubisoft did not try every single program on the market using all settings. 5.incorrect file versions for Net Framework 4.5 Direct X as well as Microsoft Visual basic C++. tCg45AW.
